Keeping up with Kennadi.

-Kennadi gave me a quick recap of nursery one day when I picked her up. She said, "I got sad because my teacher wouldn't draw my family. She would only draw cows."

-I was dancing in the kitchen while making lunch. Kennadi asked me what I was doing. I replied, "I'm having a dance party." She was quick to turn me down by saying, "You can't have a dance party. There are no decorations. You can dance but no party. Got it mom?"

-Kennadi is in this stage where she loves teasing us. She recently learned the art of knock knock jokes. The problem is when she tells a joke she always says Ding Dong instead of knock knock.

-Austin was showing Kennadi a countdown on his calendar for when we become empty nesters. Kennadi started puckering up and exclaims, "WHAT! We aren't living with mom and dad anymore. But I want to."

-We were at the checkout in Costco and Kennadi randomly told the cashier, "I love Jesus."

-I told Kennadi to stop growing because her clothes were getting to small. Her response, "No way. I need to grow big so I can go to Disneyland!"

-I told Kennadi to clean up her toys because I didn't want them in the kitchen. So she obeyed and picked them up. The problem is she put them on the floor right outside of the kitchen.

-Randomly  Kennadi told me, "I love China but sometimes the cows in China ruin everything." Say what? I am not sure what her train of thought was on that one...

-Kennadi told me, "I'm doing my 'toga'. Don't bug me mom." I looked over to this...

-I told Kennadi it was naptime and she needed to run to the bathroom first. This was her way of delaying naptime. Apparently her batteries were dead so she couldn't walk.

Photo Dump.

Here is another edition of my photo dump. Enjoy all the random, cute photos that I have no idea what else to do with!

Super girl.
Kennadi refuses to let me workout with her.
Impromptu family picture.
Everyone loves Aunt Lindsey.
Kennadi loves going to church at Grandma Heidi's because it usually means dad will let her drive home.
Sometimes I can get both girls to play "spa" with me.
Being a baby is exhausting.

Quincy | 9 months.

At 9 Months Quincy is...

-17 pounds and 27.5 inches long.
-Wearing 6 month and 9 month clothes. In size 3 diapers.
-Got her second tooth.
-Experienced her first stomach bug, UTI, and yeast infection. This gal has had a rough month!
-Her sleep schedule and eating schedule are all over the place due to being sick. So I have no idea what her eating/sleeping routine is. I hope we can nail some sort of routine down in the next few days.
-Had her first Christmas! She could care less about the presents, she just wanted to play with the bows.
-Crawling and starting to think she needs to learn how to go up stairs. She can make it up one or two stairs before she panics.
-Can say mamma and dadda. She is also a pro at clapping her hands and waving hello/goodbye.

Even smiling at the Doctors.

Sunbeams.

Kennadi moving into Sunbeams has been something I've been dreading for a while. Kennadi LOVES nursery and I wasn't sure how she would act not being able to go. The weeks leading up to the change, we tried to talk primary up constantly. I thought she was finally getting excited for sunbeams and understanding she was too big for nursery but then the first Sunday of the year came and I realized I was wrong!

As soon as Sacrament Meeting was over and I told her we were heading to Primary now, she panicked. She started to tear up a little because she wanted to go to nursery, not primary. Once we got in the primary room she really lost it. It probably didn't help that I was in there with my class but wouldn't sit by her. I finally had to send Austin a quick text to have him come sit with her and settle her down. Kennadi finally mellowed out once the singing teacher brought out magic wands for the kids to use during a song. And she seemed fine when we picked her up from her class. She was pumped she got to make a princess crown. Hopefully next week we can avoid any melt downs. Wish us (and her primary teachers) luck!

I tried to document her first day of Sunbeams and these are the best pictures I could get. My oh so photogenic child....

Christmas.

Our Christmas turned out a bit different then we originally planned this year. The stomach bug hit our house full force on Christmas Eve. Nothing makes Christmas more exciting then throwing up and gurgling stomachs! We knew a handful of people who had previously had this stomach bug who said it was short lived so we opted to spend Christmas Eve and morning at our house then venture up to Tremonton on Christmas Day. It was our first Christmas spending with just us and i must say, it was fun (and everyone was recovered from the stomach bug)!

I could hear Kennadi stirring in her bed a little after 7 on Christmas morning. I went into her room to ask if she wanted to go see if Santa visited her house and she said, "No. I'm still sleepy." So we let her stay in bed for a bit longer and waited downstairs for her. When she finally came downstairs and saw the presents all she could say was, "Oh my gosh." Then she got really excited that Santa left her some Disney surprise eggs in her stocking. Kennadi loved opening presents. She oohed and ahhed with each present opened. Quincy could care less about the presents or toys. All she could care about was the bows. I think Kennadi opened all of Quincy's presents. By the end of the morning, we were all feeling pretty spoiled. Some of the present highlights were Austin got a Blu ray player and a bbq cookbook. Austin surprised me with a Kitchen-aid and I got a Thanksgiving Point Membership. Kennadi got her surprise eggs, princess dresses, and some barbies. Quincy got a highchair and some toys.

After we opened presents we ventured up to Tremonton. Austin was craving his mom's cinnamon rolls and didn't think we could get up there quick enough! We spent the majority of the day with Austin's family. We skipped my family's because they were planning a trip to Idaho to help with McKay while he had surgery. Just in case we were still contagious we didn't want to spread it and ruin their trip. We opened presents at their house a week after Christmas when they came back from their trip. By the end of the holiday we were all feeling pretty spoiled.
