Daddy Daughter Time.

Austin questioned my blogging abilities when he noticed I skipped his birthday without giving him a birthday shout-out. So I am going to do what any good wife would do. I am going to dedicate a whole post to him just to prove him wrong :)

First things first, Happy Late Birthday to my adorable husband Austin! Austin turned the big 2-3 on September 26th. He got a little spoiled as he got brand new golf clubs. I even attempted to make apple pie, Austin’s favorite. It didn’t turn out quite as good as his mom’s but I don’t think he minded.

Next, Austin has been extremely busy this semester with work and school. He is usually gone all day every day. The time he is home he helps out with Kennadi a lot.  Where he could easily have the excuse of being too tired or too stressed, he always steps up and takes care of the babe so I can have some time without a baby attached to my arms. I don’t think he understands how much I appreciate that. Before Kennadi came along I found him bringing me flowers, taking me out to ice cream, or giving me foot massages as signs he really loved me. Now nothing, and I mean nothing, brings me more joy and proves he loves me than having him get up with Kennadi in the middle of the night. Every time he grabs Kennadi and lets me sleep a little longer I can’t help but love him more. It’s amazing how much things change when babies get in the picture!

Finally, I find nothing more attractive than watching Austin with Kennadi. I mean look at these pics, aren't they adorable? I am sure a lucky gal to be married to such an incredible man. I love you Aust!

One Month.

At One Month old Kennadi is…
-growing like a weed. She is still in newborn clothes but has moved up to size 1 diapers.
-sleeping like a champ. She usually gets up once in between 10 pm and 6 am. When she does get up it   is only for around 30-45 minutes. This mama isn’t complaining!
-loves bath time. She will cry every single time it is time to get out.
-a little piggy as she eats 4 oz. every 3 hours (except at night!).
-a pooping machine. Without fail we usually have a blow out or two a day. We have tried everything (bigger diapers, smaller diapers, different brands of diapers) and nothing seems to help the cause.
-strong! She can push her body up during tummy time. She loves holding her head up and seeing what is going on around her.
-loves to suck on her binki and be cuddled. She is one of the snuggliest babies I know.
