Riding the Train.

One day I needed to meet Austin up in Salt lake for a meeting. To give Kennadi some excitement, Kennadi and I decided to ride the FrontRunner up to Salt Lake and have Austin pick us up at the train station. Kennadi thought riding the train was the greatest thing ever! She had her nose pressed against the window the whole trip and would point out every little thing. She also thought it was pretty rad she didn't have to be in a seatbelt and could go from my lap to the seat while we were moving. To see Kennadi that excited and not have her yell/cry/chat my ear off nonstop during the ride up there made the train ticket one of the best $5 I have ever spent!

Kennadi and Easton.

Kennadi loves her cousin Easton. If you ask her about Easton, she will say he is "my favorite" or "I love him." She loved spending time with him during the Christmas break and they played so well together. We wish it could have been longer. Being so far away from them is no fun!

Christmas.

After weeks and weeks of having Kennadi ask when Santa Clause was going to visit her house, he finally did! And boy did he spoil us! We had Christmas up at my mom and dad's house this year and everyone was there. Christmas Eve was spent having dinner at Chili's, playing some gift exchange games, opening pjs, and reading Christmas stories. Christmas morning was spent opening presents, skyping with Lizzy in France, and playing with all of our new stuff. Kennadi loved Christmas, as did I! Now hopefully she will be patient enough to wait until Christmas next year without asking every couple of days about it.

Christmas Festivities.

Kennadi has really enjoyed Christmas and all of the activities leading up to it. It is so fun to see the magic of Christmas through your child's eyes. Here is a snapshot of some of the activities leading up to Christmas.

Meeting Santa Clause.
Kennadi was so excited to meet Santa Clause, even though the picture may tell you otherwise. She told Santa all she wanted to chocolate milk and a doll. She is easy to please!

Temple Square.
We couldn't go through the Christmas season without a visit to Temple Square. Don't you have to do that at least once every year? It was a bit chilly but Kennadi sure enjoyed looking at all of the lights.

Playing in the Snow.
We have been incredibly lucky to have very little snow and warm temperatures throughout December (have I mentioned how much I hate the snow?). With the little bit of snow that we did get, Kennadi loved playing in it. She loved building "olafs" aka snowmen and throwing snowballs at me. Austin is teaching her bad habits already!

Sledding.
Kennadi was able to try sledding for the first time. We just took her to the hill by Grandma Hunt's house and went with Court, Dillon, and Easton. I think sledding was a hit. If it wasn't such a task to haul the kids and the sled up the hill (not that I can talk, I was just the photographer!), I bet we would have been out there for a while.
