May.

May was a busy month so here is a little summary of some of the fun we had.

Mothers day.
I am a fan of Mother's Day. Heck, I am a fan of any day that I get to be spoiled and I get to celebrate my amazing mom and the other mother figures in my life! To celebrate, Austin took me to dinner and to get massages. He knows the way to my heart. It was oh so heavenly. On the actual day, we spent the day in Tremonton and skyped with Lizzy in France. It is weird to think she will be home from her mission in a few short weeks!

Birthday Party.
Lydia and Lindsey share birthdays so they had a joint birthday party. The party started at the Bountiful Rec Center. Everyone went swimming but I opted to sit out with Quincy. After swimming we headed to Aubrey and Trey's place for pizza, cake, and the opening of presents! Kennadi thought it was the greatest thing ever and had a great time being with her cousins.

Grandma and Grandpa.
When day we went down and visited my Grandma and Grandpa Hunt in Spanish Fork. I snapped these gems. My girls sure love their Grandma and Grandpa Hunt (as do I)!

Temple Trip.
One Sunday we let Kennadi pick out our Sunday activity. Because she is really into the "I Love to See the Temple" song, she opted to go see the temple. We went to the Mt. Timpanogos temple and walked around. Unfortunately the gates were closed so we didn't get very close but it was enough to satisfy Kennadi. We are so lucky to be 30 minutes or less away from 6 soon to be 7 temples! I also feel real lucky to be able to see the Mt. Timp temple from our back door.

Museum of Natural Curiosity.

We received some tickets to the Museum of Natural Curiosity for Christmas. We finally got around to using them, and it was a big hit! Kennadi loved running to the different areas and soaking in all the fun activities to do. One area was "Kidopolis". This area is a little city complete with a bank, theater, dance studio, and television station. Kennadi loved dressing up and putting on a show for us as well as being featured in her very own show. The next area was a "Rainforest". It has different activities to teach you about jungle animals and features an amazing play area complete with overhead rope bridges. This area was probably Kennadi's favorite. She could have spent the whole time in there if we would have let her. She loved climbing and playing with the other kids. Another area was "Waterworks". We didn't spend too much time in there before heading out to the " Discovery Gardens". In the gardens they had a maze, playground, caves, and a fish pond. We fed the fish but Kennadi wasn't too thrilled when the fish got excited and would splash her. This was one of our first outings taking both girls out and I was a bit nervous considering Quincy's schedule is still a little sporadic with feedings and naps. Luckily, Quincy handled it like a champ and slept the whole time. Now that we live much closer to the museum, I am sure this won't be a our last outing there!

Payson Temple Open House.

We are so lucky to have yet another temple built in our neck of the woods. During the Payson Temple Open house, we went and took a tour of the temple. It is beautiful; inside and out. It has gorgeous dark wood, a really open and spacious feel, and an incredible celestial room. It made me wish we never moved from Spanish Fork so that it could be our assigned temple (good thing it's probably the closest temple to most of our babysitters!). I can't wait for it to be dedicated so I can go inside again and do a session. Kennadi loved walking through it. Quincy slept the whole time so I am guessing she enjoyed it too! Kennadi had her eyes peeled the whole time to find pictures of Jesus and sparkles. The booties on her feet were also a big hit! Kennadi loves to sing "I love to see the temple" now and always reminds us of the time she went inside. I think she might be a bit disappointed next time we go to a temple and she can't go inside...

Cabelas.

Whenever we get a little cabin fever from staying inside all day, Kennadi often requests visiting the fishy store or Grandpa Packer's Temple AKA Cabelas. Kennadi could sit and watch the fishes or look at the stuffed animals for hours. I don't mind visiting either because it's free entertainment for her! We are lucky we live so close so that we can visit often!

Family Pictures.

Considering we added to our family plus our last family portrait was taken before Kennadi turned one (oops!), we decided to get some pictures done. I have learned it is extremely difficult to get pictures taken with 2 kids. Our photo session went something like this...Quincy crying non-stop, Quincy having a huge blowout which went all over her only outfit and all over my pants (thank you photoshop), Kennadi constantly running away or cheesing it, and Austin counting down the minutes until pictures are over. Luckily we had a very patient photographer. All of our picture were taken by Ashley Huish Photography. She is our go to photographer and I would highly recommend her!

Quincy | 1 month

At one month Quincy is...

-not sure on her current height and weight but a week ago at the doctor's office she was 7 pounds 12 ounces and  21 inches long.
-Wearing newborn clothes and in newborn diapers. It doesn't look like she will move up into anything bigger anytime soon.
-is a sleeping fool! She naps for most of the day and the past couple of nights has been sleeping for 6 hours straight!  I really lucked out in this department.
- is a very happy and mellow baby. If she cries its only because she needs a diaper change or thinks she is starving.
-a very patient baby. She almost has to be with Kennadi as her older sister. Kennadi always wants to hold her, be in her face, and play with her. Quincy is handling it like a champ!
-Mastered breastfeeding. I really debated on attempting breastfeeding again since I wasn't very successful with Kennadi. Quincy has had zero problems with it though. She has had a real hard time gaining weight but it sure isn't from not eating enough!

Sisters.

One of the best parts of having another girl is it allows Quincy and Kennadi to be sisters. I grew up with only sisters and it was the best! Between having someone to play barbies with, sharing clothes, late night chats, ice cream runs, vacations, and movie night; i wouldn't trade having sisters for anything! I can already tell that Kennadi and Quincy are going to have a special bond. Kennadi is always wanting to play with or hold Quincy and Quincy never fights back (she is a patient little bugger). I hope these two always stay close and have of good of a relationship as I have with my sisters.
