Philadelphia.

I was given the opportunity to go to Philadelphia on another work trip. This time I went to put on the Dirty Dash instead of the 5K Foam Fest. Unfortunately I didn't get to spend too much time in the city. We spent most of our time in the outskirts of town (this resulted in outrageous allergies. It was bad. Real bad.). The race was held at a summer camp called Camp Kweebec. The place was just like a scene from Parent Trap. They had the cabins, dining hall, lake, swimming pools, and sports fields. I was a bit envious the whole time that I never got to go to a sweet summer camp like it!

We flew in on Wednesday and got hardly any sleep that night. Thursday morning I made the mistake of taking some allergy medicine that has drowsiness as a side effect. No sleep the night before plus allergy medicine is not a good combo. While we drove around picking up supplies, I found myself sprawled out in the backseat snoozing. Luckily I was with some amazing event managers who let me sleep the morning away! The whole set up went pretty uneventful, in fact the guys were champs and we stayed ahead schedule for most of the time. This resulted in an afternoon of testing out the giant slip'n'slide obstacles, playing on the camp's waterslides, and devouring our faces with Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches.

Event day was a blast, as usual (besides making some small children cry and being chastised by a pastor but that is a different story...).  Philadelphia was a great city with amazing people. Until next time Philly....

Darci and Britten's Wedding.

Darci and Britten got hitched the end of May. They got married in the Brigham City Temple. The sealing ceremony was absolutely beautiful and both Britten and Darci were grinning from ear to ear the whole way through it! After the ceremony, we headed out to the temple grounds to snap some photos. At one point Kennadi was so exhausted that she collapsed in the middle of the sidewalk to lay down and rest for a little bit while the whole commotion was going on around her. After the temple, we headed over to Maddox for the luncheon. The food was delicious and we even scored some sunglasses. Holla! After the luncheon, we headed to the church for the reception. We took some photos first and then hung out at the reception. Austin and Kennadi ended up bailing for a bit because Kennadi was soo tired which meant she was soo cranky! Kennadi is just like her momma and needs her sleep to function! Everything was perfect from the milk cartons to the delicious doughnuts. I probably ate 5 of them myself that night :)

It was a long day but it was a good day! Congrats Darci and Britten!

21 Months.

At 21 Months Kennadi is...
-24.5 pounds and 32 inches tall. She is rocking the 18 and 24 month clothes and in size 4 diapers.
-Speaking of diapers, Kennadi is sooo ready to be potty trained! We are going to tackle the intimidating task in the next week or two.
-In a toddler bed! We got a bed for our spare bedroom and Kennadi was fascinated with sleeping in a big girl bed so much that she refused to sleep in her crib. We changed her bed into a toddler bed that night and had zero problems! She is such a champ!
-Sleeping from 8 pm to 8 am straight! She is also taking one 2-3 hour nap every afternoon.
-Has recently said goodbye to the pacifier. We only had one rough night and then she was pretty well adjusted. She seems to have no problem with any change.
-Can count to three by herself and can count to 10 with a little help. Sometime she struggles remembering the number one though.
-Knows all of the Disney Princesses. Aunt Madison has made sure she knows those! She loves anything princess but has a thing for Ariel and Rapunzel.
-Loves babies and puppies. If she sees a baby she instantly sighs and says, "Oh baby...so cute." If she sees a puppy she instantly drops to her hands and knees, barks, and licks everything in sight.
-is learning the colors but blue, pink, and black seem to be her favorite!
