Kitchen Remodel.

When we first moved into our house I wanted to gut our kitchen. I hated the outdated cabinets and floors. It was almost a deal breaker for buying the place. Well, I finally convinced Austin to give up a few weekends and remodel our kitchen a little bit. We didn't want to put a ton of money into because we didn't think we would get it back when we resold it. We decided on adding some trim to the top of cabinets, painting them white, and putting some laminate wood flooring through out our whole main level.

After a few weekends, a few curse words (all from Austin), and a few too many home depot trips we finished the project. I am in love! It is definitely a transformation and makes our whole living area lighter and brighter. I am grateful I am married to someone so handy and who secretly enjoys doing all of my Pinterest projects. Onto the next project....

Valentine's Day.

Valentines Day was pretty low key around here. I was in charge of planning a date for Austin and I but never got around to it. Oops! So Austin took the reins and planned a family date. We went to the movie theater and watched Kung Fu Panda 3. Quincy stayed in the theater for maybe 20 minutes. I ended up taking her out and walking up and down the halls for the remainder of the show. So don't ask me for a movie review because I couldn't tell ya! Kennadi loved the movie (or more the snacks) except for the end. She thought it got a bit scary.

Since Valentines Day landed on a Sunday, Kennadi got some fun hair for church and we ended the day with a dinner complete with candles. It might not have been the most romantic Valentine's Day but it was spent with the ones I love most!

We also had a little Valentine's Party at our house with Kennadi's friends. Aren't they a cute bunch?

BYU Basketball Game.

Austin's work really is good to him. He got some amazing tickets to a BYU basketball game (like row 6 good). We took the girls with us and they loved every minute! Quincy was selected to participate in the halftime baby crawl. I had high hopes she would come out victorious but there wasn't such luck. She thought it would be more enjoyable to lay in the middle of the floor and watch the others compete. Nothing I did would get her to move. Once another baby crossed the finish line and they announced a winner, Quincy took off after a shiny piece of trash on the floor. She just doesn't have a very competitive personality yet, which surprises me since she has to put up with Kennadi every day. Kennadi loved being in the Marriott Center. She watched everyone around her and cheered/stood up at all the appropriate times. She nailed the fight song and would dance right along with the cougarettes and cheerleaders. I think Austin and I have already successfully brainwashed our kids to be BYU fans.

Zoo Day.

The zoo had free zoo day so we (and half of Utah) took advantage of the opportunity. It was still real chilly so we bundled up and did the loop through the zoo in record time! Quincy was so content and happy just chilling in her stroller. I was paranoid she would freeze but I didn't hear anything but giggles and squeals from her. Kennadi loved looking at all the animals but ended up being a bit disappointed they didn't have penguins at this zoo and that the giraffes were kept inside due to the cold weather. She wore a penguin shirt and wanted to show the Penguins it so bad.  The things that can ruin a 3 year old's day....

Even without the Penguins, free zoo was a success! Both girls crashed on the way home.

Quincy | 10 months.

At 10 months Quincy is...

-is wearing 9 month and 12 month clothes. Still in size 3 diapers.

-can crawl up the stairs but going down is a different story
-loves patty cake and knows all the actions to it.
-can walk with her walker.
-sleeps 11 hours at night and takes 2 naps during the day.
-loves to eat! If anyone is eating she has to be eating too. Last doctor appointment the doctor was a bit concerned about her weight. I don't think there is any need to be concerned now.
-Is a trouble maker. She is often found emptying everything out of drawers, pulling Kennadi's hair, or figuring out how to escape her high chair buckle.
-still only has her 2 bottom teeth.
