Bryce Canyon.

We ventured out on our first camping trip with the girls. We packed up our car one weekend and headed down to the beautiful Bryce Canyon. Before we got to Bryce, we made a quick pit stop in Panguitch. We had to drive past my old house, some old stomping grounds, and grab a bite to eat at Henry's Drive In. Once we got to Bryce Canyon, we headed to the campground to set up camp. As soon as we got our tent pitched, dark storm clouds started rolling in. Leading up to the trip, we checked, double checked, and triple checked the weather. We wanted it to be good weather so we could enjoy the trip a bit more and the girls would't freeze. We were suppose to have beautiful weather all weekend so we didn't know where the storm was coming from. We thought that before the storm rolled in, we better go visit some lookout spots. We got to the first lookout and it quickly became a downpour. We sat in the car for a bit to let it pass through, but it wasn't moving very fast. We finally opted to give up on the lookout points and go to the Visitor Center. As we were leaving the storm started to ease up, so we hurried and stopped at some other lookout points before the visitor center. The rest of the day stayed a little overcast but at least the rain stopped. Back at our campsite, we roasted some hot dogs and smores and told princess stories around the fire.

During the night, Austin got paranoid about Kennadi freezing and ended up putting her in his sleeping bag. Quincy got a bit chilly so I put her in my sleeping bag. By the morning, all four of us were squished on our double air mattress. It wasn't the best night sleep, but it could have been worse.
The next day, we hit up some hiking trails. The first trail we went down was a section of the Navajo Loop. We hiked down a ton of switchbacks to the bottom of the canyon and into a slot canyon. Kennadi loved standing next to the big rocks and walking under tunnels. The next hike was to a mossy cave and waterfall. Kennadi was a champ and had no problem with the hikes. Quincy sat and slept in the carrier the whole time and had no problems with the hikes either.

Bryce Canyon is so beautiful and breathtaking so it made the quick trip worth while. This small camping trip also gave us some confidence in our camping abilities. We have started quite the list of National Parks and camping spots we want to visit next year!

Rapunzel and Kennadi.

While Madison was in Disney World working, she ran into Rapunzel. Rapunzel filmed this sweet message for Kennadi. To say Kennadi loved it, would be an understatement. Kennadi watched it over and over and over again. And after each time she would say, "She knows my name. I am a princess!" Aunt Madison sure knows what to do to make my little girl feel special!

Family Pictures.

We finally got the Packer side some updated family pictures! Pictures were taken by my mom's good friend, Mariam Laker. She was sooo patient with all 3 very inpatient and uncooperative kids. I had to keep feeding the kids (and my dear husband who despises pictures) gummy worms and gummy bears to keep them semi happy. At least we were able to capture some good photos to reward us for the all the chaos!

50 and Fabulous.

My mom is turning the big 5-0 this year! With Courtnie in Utah for the week, we decided it would be fun to throw her a little party with some family and friends, even if it is a couple of weeks early. We started off with a barbecue with family and ended the night with an ice cream party with her friends. It was fun to visit with some family and old ward members for a bit. Hopefully this party helped my mom know how much we love her and made "going over the hill" a little easier. Happy Birthday mom!

Kennadi served as great entertainment throughout the night. This was her when some peer pressure told her to touch a potato bug.

Easton's Visit.

Courtnie and Dillon brought her little family down to Utah for a visit this Summer. Because of law school, we don't get to see them as often as we would like. When I heard they were coming down for a week, I knew we needed to take advantage of it! So, we headed to Tremonton for a few days to spend time with them. Kennadi loved having Easton around to play with. They played trains, with the bubbles, and swam in the pool all week. For Kennadi, the highlight of the visit was when Dillon took her to his family farm. Kennadi loved riding on the horses, Pepper and Lil Red. Now whenever we see a horse, she makes sure everyone without ear shot knows she rode a horse! Quincy enjoyed finally meeting her cousin, aunt, and uncle. Hopefully once Law School is over, they will move closer to us! Fingers crossed.

Quincy | 4 Months.

At 4 months Quincy is...

-is 13.5 pounds and 25.75 inches long.
-Wearing size 2 diapers and 0-3 month and 3 month clothes.
-Loves to sit in her bumbo. She feels the need to constantly be watching people and sitting in the bumbo is the easiest way to do that. Being held and carried around will also do it for her.

-Eating only formula now. We also attempted some oatmeal but she just kept spitting it out. We will try again in a few weeks.
-Holds her own bottle.
-Sleeping all night and in her crib in her own room! She will go down for bed around 9 pm and wakes up around 7 am. She will also give me a couple of cat naps throughout the day and a solid 3-4 hour afternoon nap.
-Is sooo droolly. I have never met a more slobbery baby. I usually put a bib on her in the morning and have to change it 2-3 times throughout the day because she soaks through them. I don't feel any swollen gums or teeth so I have no clue what the reason behind all the drool is.
-Gives her biggest smiles first thing in the morning or whenever she sees her daddy (she also only laughs for her daddy too).
-Can roll both ways (from her front to back/back to front). She is also getting pretty good at scooting in a circle.

Seriously, Look at that pucker!

Bowling.

On National Bowling Day, we opted to take Kennadi bowling for her first time. Truth be told, we really found it was National Bowling Day as we were driving to the alley and Curious George really inspired our decision. Kennadi loved bowling and would jump up and down each time she knocked down some pins. She was actually pretty darn good at it too. In fact, she got a strike her first roll down the lane! Austin ended up winning the game, but not by far. Kennadi and I gave him a run for his money. And we can't leave Quincy out. She sure looked cute being our score keeper.

Sleeping Beauties.

Austin watched the girls for a bit while I ran to the store one night. I asked Austin to keep Quincy awake so I could feed her one last time before bedtime. This was the result...

And here is a picture of Kennadi sleeping because she is just so darn cute.
